As a prospective Client you may well ask what we mean when we make such a statement, so we will tell you in plain English what we mean by it, and how we seek to achieve it:

Firstly, we employ only Registered Hearing Aid Dispensers/Hearing Aid Audiologists (RHAD/HAA)who are registered with the Hearing Aid Council (a Govt. body).

However, we go further: We additionally guarantee that the HAA that you see will have a minimum of 5 years experience.

Soon we will be going even further: In 2010, following a proposed change in the Law, Hearing Care Companies will be able to employ UNQUALIFIED, UNREGISTERED persons who will probably be known as Dispensing Assistants or Hearing Care Assistants.
At Scotia Hearing we have already decided that we will not employ such persons.

That, briefly, is what we mean by "professional" hearing care and we make no apologies to our competitors for pointing this out.

Now, talking of registration, did you know that although all RHAD/HAAs must be personally registered with the Hearing Aid Council, not all COMPANIES choose to be/have to be registered

A search on the HAC website will reveal that SCOTIA HEARING is one of only TWO companies appearing under "GLASGOW" as being registered.

(As some companies trading in Glasgow may be registered elsewhere, prospective Clients should perform a Company name check as well.)

We simply pose the following question - would you rather deal with a Company which is HAC registered, thus affording the consumer an extra layer of protection, or would you rather deal with a Company which isn't? It's your choice

However, we do more, in an effort to keep prices as low as possible, we do not believe in the common practice of paying commission on sales(which in other business models can account for up to 30% of the price YOU pay)

Consequently you will find no "salesmen" or "sales pressure" at Scotia Hearing and the savings we make by not paying commission, are passed on to you as generous price cuts!
